hi

thinking about trading in some games on the highstreet at any of the well known outlets

what sort of prices can i expect to get for xbox 360 games :

deadrising,fifa07,pro evo6,spiderman 3?

cheers

Not too much they dont give you much at all. I traded in crackdown in the purple store and got £7. You would be better sticking them on the bay.

I traded in Forza 2 for £29. Depending where you go, you might get anywhere between £20-£45/£50 for those games.

depends on what the store is and the game is. 3 months after Gears of War was released i had completed it and the Store with the purple sign were giving a £25 trade in against any other item in store. I then went to their competitor which is now owned by them and they gave me £30 trade in. They both tend to try and compete each others trade in prices, but saying that the Gears of War trade in it was a deal at the time.

You get more for trading than you do cash. I swapped 3 month old GOW for brand new release version of BF2142.

The purple store doesn't give great prices for trades. As suggested, try the other shop that is now owned by them. I find they are consistently better, I was offered £24 total for Virtua Tennis 3, WWE Smackdown 2007 and PGR3 while I was offered £39 in the other shop.

I find the staff rude and speak down to you at the purple store. I would personally stay well away from them. Go to the store which was their competitor and is now owned by them. I sold 30 Snes games and 2 Snes's and got a £170 credit note because i simply could spend £170 on games. Saying that i bought 2 copies of Guild Wars Nightfall. One as a xmas present for my mate. Grim Fandango, Resident Evil to for the Cube/Wii and a Cube Controller for the Wii.

lol, and still had plenty left.

Isnt that down to the personality of the individual(s) rather than the company itself though?

Just call em geeks, they cant do **** back.

You saying woah owned by yikes now?? dont make that much sense from a business POV lol :P

go have a read of the FAQ, you've broken a rule.

Personally my experience of that company has varied quite wildly, it all depends on what store you go to. Bit unfair to judge the whole company based on an isolated experience.

Trade-in price at "Yikes" when I worked there a few years ago were 1/3 rrp (+-how much preowned stock they have), except for newer ones. SO £20: £5-9; £30: £8-12; £40: £13-15. Newest games can get you up to £20.

On ebay you'll get about £70-80 for the PSP alone.

just checked the purple retailers site and for a preowned giga pack its £129

but i doubt i would get that selling private, perhaps i should try £100?

£7, £10, £7, £7.

I traded Kameo and got £7 and £10 for Crackdown.

I've found the blue DVD rental shop offer quite good trade in prices and is usually my first port of call when trading - they're often the cheapest for games too. e.g got BioShock (metal tin) for £34.99.

Pity the purple store don't still do they're yearly trade in any 4 games and get any game for 99p offer. I snapped up loads of clearance games in various places for between 50p-£3 and ended up getting Gran Turismo 4, Devil May Cry 3, TimeSplitters 3, and Metal Gear Solid 3 for about £15 total, and that was when they were all just newly released! :D
