Traded in the RS6 due to running costs, got this instead

I still don't get why these cars estates. Genuine question, what's the fascination with estates? I've always viewed them as large family cars, designed for practicality rather than performance.

The saloon version is still occupies the same amount of road as the estate, its not as if it has been shrunk down.

Without a doubt, historically the hottest Audis have always been estate so imo there is no other choice. And 580bhp. The mentality behind that is amazing

And before the RS2 we had the Ur-Quattro. I'm struggling to remember an estate version of that.

Awesome! Would the depreciation on the newer car outweigh the potential bills of the older car? I know they've all haemorrhaged money through depreciation no matter what the age. I'm afraid I have to say that I prefer the older shape!

C4 4.2 definitely came as estate. There are a few beside the common names

Can you tell me this...does it say Lamborghini logo underneath the windscreen washer cap. :D

Someone on rs246.com had their engine out and there is actually a part with a Lamborghini logo. Whether that makes it a "Lambo engine mate" I'm not sure but I'll carry on saying it.

Oh my god! That is just gorgeous! The colour is mind blowing!

Absolutely love it

And lol @ the people in here commenting on it because it's an estate. It's an Audi RS6... it doesn't matter what body shell it has. It's just simply epic.

Oh and Will, I'll join you in the fapping. But not together, ok?!

simply stunning, perfect colour combo and spec, i want it!

Nobody has asked how much yet!!

How much??

Fantastic stuff, looks brilliant in blue.

When I first read the thread title I thought "Oh no, not another got rid of sports car for mondeo thread"

How pleasantly surprised I was. :)

EDIT: Yes the important question, how much? ;)

The previous owner would have paid over £80,000 for it 3 years ago. He traded it in for an R8

I paid just under £40,000. 30,000 miles, full main dealer service history, like new inside and out. It's still going to shed more value once the new model is out of course.

When I first read the thread title, I thought the OP would have downgraded to a "more economic" ride but damn, thats a fantastic car. Well done sir!
