Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Slowly cashing out at the moment, mainly because I need to derisk due to personal circumstances. Don't feel too bad about it as savings rates are well above inflation, and things feel a bit heated right now, cashing out some nice profits.

I think we're ripe for another major correction. Either a Ukraine escalation, or this bird flu outbreak that is quietly gaining traction and showing potential to be a serious outbreak amongst humans if it keeps infection mammals.
Ooft. Hadn't caught wind of bird flu.
Not seen a single headline on it.

I started buying stocks in May this year and I'm up 65% on my portfolio

Biggest regret is I was tentative so only made 1k and under purchases per stock,

I realise I joined the party in the golden age and will probably never get this kind of opportunity again.....sobs
The growth in the past year is absolutely 100% guaranteed to happen again.....

.....after there's been a massive correction, which is also 100% guaranteed to happen at some point.

So don't sweat it. Just keep buying a diverse portfolio (index funds) every month and over a long enough timescale you will always win.

Don't you spend a lot of time outdoors? Have you not seen the bird corpses? The local lake has been a bit of a duck/goose graveyard for some time now.

Bird flu infected cows months ago and has been spreading across the states, and starting to infect humans.

It's not likely to trigger a covid type scenario, as we're so much better prepared now to roll out vaccines rapidly.....but is certainly capable of triggering a run on the markets.

I do. But mainly in the hills.
I haven't had any government warnings in regards to my chickens yet either.

I'm very surprised the Bull run in continuing I expected it to falter with Ukraine heating up.

Then again, if we do get WW3 a few stocks aren't going to matter

Like i said, I'm not trying to time the market, I just need to derisk (out of a job in a few months). But as timing goes, I'm quite happy to exit with some nice profits.

I'm keeping a small pot to swing trade the volatility on my psych stocks

I'd say now it's a great time of it coincides with life.
I've given up trying to time cashing out. Going in is easier. But out, you just never know how big a crash is going to be.
Its really easy to look back with hindsight.. And forget you have hindsight!

:D I can't stop choosing winners either.
I bought ACHR about 6 days ago and I'm up 77% already :D
Seems it became a wall street bets favourite due to short interest

total profile sitting at +70% this year

I already realised loads of gains too, everything I'm holding I want to go long on and mostly seems like there's nothing around that interests me enough to buy into.

Just keep looking at small market cap up and comers since that's where I do best.

Some stocks go crazy if your in when they are small, then the start getting added to S&P 500 etc and all the index funds have to buy them.

Nearly went in at $14 and regret it. Starting to wonder if I'll regret not buying at $25. So hard to tell what the future is
I'm thinking about buying more

Next year or the year after could be a big catalyst for them and I'm planning on holding long term anyway, I like the company and the guy in charge seems alright

The big money has faith it seems
15% short interest though

JustEat has given up on the LSE..

I guess the UK markets are just not the place to raise funds to blitzscale...
Was just coming to day this.
Quite a biggy really, especially as a headline grabber.

Can't see the outflow stopping.
Both in terms of investing and companies leaving.

Bought into this last week myself seeing as your tips are pretty solid!

I also bought into microvast.
Revenue has been up YoY for years and on track to increase again.
Only just discovered this share.

Potentially on cusp of profitability
