Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

I put 95% into 1 stock at a time only because T212 doesn't let you put 100% of your cash on a single stock. Why they top you out at 95% I've no idea, but it's annoying.

I'm doing pretty decent, I think, considering the timing of when I bought in?

£20k in at the start of tax year, so about 7 weeks in total... I'm up £500

But I left it unenvested getting interest to start with and slowly moved it all to ETFs in several phases so its hard to say, but its wazzing all over my cash ISA performance...

IMO you're better off measuring performance of trackers over years rather than weeks.. however 2.4% sounds great until you realise VWRP is up about 12% since the start of the tax year and about 18% since the low. Holding back money has lowered your performance so it all depends on your aims. But as I said measuring performance of trackers over a few weeks is pointless.

Thanks, that makes sense.
I just happy its done well compared to my cash ISA, I guess I'm easily pleased!!

I purchased £700 bitcoin 6 months ago. When Trump won the election it shot up to near £1100. Now it's back down to £830.

Slowly making my way back to all time highs. I reckon another good 2-3 trading days and I’ll be past my highest net worth ever. When I trade tonight, I’ll be about 13 grand away from my mid-February numbers. Should be able to sweep that aside if next week is semi decent.

I'm up 8.32% in total since the start of the tax year, a lot of that is bounce back from it dropping in the prevous year.
Week ending 04/04 - 5.19% down (yeah it's not this tax year but worth showing people shares do go down)
Week ending 11/04 - 1.94% down
Week ending 17/04 - 0.73% up
Week ending 25/04 - 2.54% up
Week ending 02/05 - 2.31% up
Week ending 09/05 - 0.55% up
Week ending 16/09 - 2.90% up

The S&P 500 is still 3.02% down from it's record high in Feb.. not sure if we will see it reach a record high this year with the way it's Yo-yoing, while the FSTE100 has already recovered.
We may see another record high for it this week.

Been busy looking at all the pies on T212 wondering what to invest a chunk in. There's so many....too many!
If you know what your doing, create your own pie from individual shares or ETFs..

If you don’t know what you are doing, just buy ETFs..

The T212 community forums are full of jokers, those are the same people who are creating the pies. Not saying that there’s not good traders/investors on there, but by the time you found their pie and looked into it, you might as well done your own.
