Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Sharp rise on no news... :( Still not sharp enough for me to claw a suitable amount of my money back, but definitely nice to see some substantial green!

Rok Plc probably worth a look - Considering sinking a couple of K in there after their recent wins on the contract front.

I'm in the green overall but still slightly down on DES.

I've got another 2K to invest but can't decide on RRL, KEA or **** or bust on MTA!

I'm here wondering to sell MTA now I'm in the green with them, not sure if it's going to go up much more than this for the moment, but at the same time I could sell and they rocket!!

Limited resistance at the moment, we got stuck at 1.69 for a while but its just shot right through 1.75, I’m not sure what this share is going to do, rumours state more up tonight depends how well the American markets do later, rumours of news and a new licence are in the air.

I wouldn't stick anymore money in, it could go back down, i'm not the biggest MTA fan!

I'm amazing MTA jumped up 24% today, unless the recent drop has been pure SP manipulation. I think it'll drop again tomorrow if there's no news, but I would hope that MTA have finally got something for us. I may get my money back yet...

I agree but...

The big difference is if I put 1k on black and the ball lands on Red I’ve lost everything, however if I put 1k on company XYZ the company would need to go bust before I’ve lost everything, clearly this isn't a 50/50 chance and if you've done your research it should be very very rare that you get into a company with prospects of them going under, also you have the chance to cling onto your share for as long as it takes for them to go back up.

I'd say putting money into share vs spending it down the Casino has some fundamentally massive differences.

If you're playing a binary game then I agree that the market's not identical to gambling - you must however always be prepared to lose it all before you invest anything what goes down does not always come up and whilst you may not lose it all you may suffer - RBS 259p two years ago 44.36p today.

There is no return without risk in the market and the cautionary tale is that too many people go in without their eyes wide open as it were.

Yep i agree with that, always a chance of the share never getting back to its previous value.

Anyone taken a look at MTA today, up 16% already! Someone must know of some very very good news in the pipeline!

Yup, i'm 20% up on my MTA average now and 25% up on my RRL average so looking nice this morning! Kicking myself for not putting load in when it was at 1.3, I was about to, but then lost the balls!

Few dangers not that far away (if things keep going up like they have been), if we get close to / slightly over 3p i can see some people selling at this point since they have been locked into MTA for quite a while waiting for the SP to rise, similar exit point for those who got in at 5p.

Not sure if i should sell up just shy of 3p case the SP tracks backwards.
