Make sure you can tow them legally on your licence though. They changed the weight restrictions to something ridiculously complicated I can't remember.

Yup I have phoned the DVLA as I thought the same. I can tow upto 3.5 tonne MAX car included. Well car is 1500 odd and quad 130 so im safe

Would love too but have you seen the cost of them? :p Will Check A/T Now

Plenty of poor Farmers struggling to make ends meet, apparently.

You may find a bargain in "Sheep Trader" or the equivalent.... :p ;) :D

Two words Dangerous, FARM SALE. Where my folks live in rural East Yorkshire there's always farmers going bump and then the resulting liquidations take place. Very good place to pick up the Ifor William marque so I'm told!!!

why not get plastic sheeting or similar to line the inside of the boot with?
stop it getting messy?

or is that too easy / obvious? ;)

If you are planning on lifting this quad into a trailer, or could do into a car if it wasnt for the mud, isnt it more like a 4 wheel kids toy??

Seriously a proper quad requires a decent trailer, with a ramp and drop tail - larger wheels because of the distance is absolutly nessecary and itll need a sturdy floor because real quads are not liftable on your own (either by size or weight!).

As you know from looking around decent trailers that are safe to do the journey, with good sturdy frames, heavy duty floors, drop tails and ramps cost a lot.

A second hand Ifor is your best bet without a doubt.

I have found something which may be upto to job, he is asking for £350, if you wish to add me to msn I will put you in touch :) email in profile.

It gets FAR TOO muddy to put in boot of car
You could just throw some plastic sheeting over it tbh. Lay some on the floor with enough to overlap and cover the quad. No need for the trailer.

Spend a grand on a decent trailer than obviously easier to throw money at a problem than use a little common sense and unload the boot.

Also why are you always questioning what I do? All I'm asking is for cheap trailers not should I buy one?

I might do but have to take seats out as well as Car stock then pack down with covers.

Quad is 130KG so it aint that light either as well as the car isnt a month old yet!

If you can weld why dont you make your own?
My older brother made his trailer and he made it so he can convert it to a jetski trailer when ever he wants in about 2 minutes

Remember that's max gross weight, not unladen or laden....

What matters is what the combination (car and trailer) is rated at, not the weight that actually being towed.
