What i'm needing help in is what to eat, and what i should do to help lower my weight before properly doing the weights and stuff.
I'm no expert but my advise is always....... Loseing weight is a science, if you burn more than you eat then you will lose weight. For a start you shoud stay away from anything white, so white bread, rice and pasta. Do as much exersise as posable and limit you fat intake to less than 5g per day and calorie intake to less than 1500. Try keep carbs to a min and dont eat after 7 and no carbs after lunch. If you are hungry eat fruit and keep a strict record of thing you eat AND DRINK, always cheack the calories in drinks thay can be very high, Orange juce can be as high as 600 calories per Litre and squash can be even higher. If I was I would stick to drinking just water, and lots of it because it will aid digestion, or if your board then green tea is very good. NO fast food, crisps, fizzy drinks ect..... in fact if there is an ad for it on TV its bad for you 9/10!!!

If you stick to that you will lose weight. Like I say to every one the best and most natural way to lose weight is to cut calories, its only if you can stick to that then you should try a "fad" diet that will be far worse for you. If you stick to that and do between 30 and 60 mins hard cardio a day then you should be able to lose 3 lbs or more a week.

One thing i can say is that tour has totally changed me, i just can't give up rugby it's a part of me, a way of life. I want it so much so for the next year i'm going to work extremely hard to get into the 1st XV at the club and i'll post my progress and pics of now and a year from now for anyone who's interested.
I have played a few Scotish teams or the years, who do you play for?

I imagine he's talking about Rugby League being the one true Rugby :) Although i've sometimes heard the 3rd row forward referred to as a lock in league.
Bingo :)

Its unusual to find anyone referring to a lock in League :) They'd normally be a loose forward.

one thing i might mention, on day that you have been in the gym, about 9pm have something like a bowl of muesli. it will give your metabolism a nice kick before you get to bed, meaning that you will be burning a few more calories off over night.

hardcore bodybuilders have been known to wake up in the middle of the night for a snack (planned)!
