Training??

hi all..
i wanna get into overclocking,but, as i'm a noob ,wondered if there are any training courses which can help??i don't want too screw up mine, or anyone else's pc, when,for maybe a days course would point me in the right direstion..

any response would be greatly appreciated!!!

I read the overclocking guide for newbies above, and an article in a magazine about them overclocking a system similar to mine and that tought me everything I needed to know really.

"training" in overclocking doesnt exist. There are guides though, as mentioned above. You might also want to visit xtremesystems.org.

i learnt by reading a thread on here which luckily was about my old Mobo and CPU, so it basically gave me direct instructions, after reading it again and again i went onto find out what did what and why. Picking up all the different parts that make OC'ing. Then read some more, asked lots of n00bish questions, then some more. Googled a lot too. then read some more threads.

Basically there isn't a guide that elightens per se, which is what im thinking is what your after, it all has to be self taught, slowly learning a bit day by day. And getting answers to your questions. The guides i found (still find infact) confusing and not much help to me, but still took the snipets of info i needed from them.

So dude, where ya at 'n' what ya wanna know? Coz your on the best place i've found to find out. I probably wont have the answer... but man some of the guys here... they know a thing or two!

I learnt the old-fashoned way:

upped FSB, broke somthing, looked on here to find out why...
upped FSB futher, with slight changes, broke somthing else.. and so on.

Read the guides, have a look and see if you can figure out what everything does...

Give it a month or two of slight increases and little setbacks, and you'll pickup exactly what to do
