Poll: 'Trans-species' woman has spent $60,000 to transform herself into a dragon

Should we remove dowie’s ability to start RSS threads?

Tbh, I like doweis threads....

It's at least a bit interesting to have some discussion going on. People need to calm down. Also said person in article I think at that point has issues....but each to their own. We live in a free society so you are welcome to mutilate yourself in any which way you like as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone else.

Question for the haters - why are you still interested in/still reading these threads?

I mean there are a whole load of threads I've never even read because they don't interest me, if you don't like RSS threads and you can already see who the thread creator is then why the continued interest?

I mean looking at the first 4 pages of GD, there are 3 threads by me out of a total of 120 so you're not exactly short of others threads to read/post in.

It's a sad state but some posters are incapable of not going into a thread that doesn't interest them and once in the thread they have to make some derogatory comment or post something like "Who?" or "I'm not bothered".
These same people are also incapable of switching channels on a TV but would instead complain about what's on the channel.
So therefore it is your fault Dowie you naughty boy.

Being diagnosed with HIV must be a fairly traumatic and life changing experience. I would have hoped she'd have had family members to keep her on the rails but this sort of things gets promoted these days and anyone who talks against it is a Nazi and gets hunted by the police for hate crimes so that's just where society is at. I'm all for individual freedom but this sort of thing strikes me as self destructive. I just worry where she'll be at mentally after she's had her 15 minutes of fame and the liberal media etc are no longer giving her any positive attention. Did she come to terms with the HIV diagnosis or was this just a coping mechanism?

No she's not, she's a dragon. That's the whole point. She's a dragon who may have become disillusioned with society back when she was a human being.
Except she's obviously not a dragon. Not least because there is no such thing as dragons.

The way this story, and the story about the guy who wanted to legally change his name, are being reported is a deliberate attempt to mock and undermine those who are campaigning for trans rights. The story being "If you can legally change your gender, then then why not anything else" - in exactly the same manner as the "I identify as an Apache attack helicopter" meme. The obvious response to all this is: "These things are clearly not the same, don't be stupid".

Gender is a societal convention - you can argue about how firmly linked it is to biological sex, and to what extent it is possible to change gender if you like - some people feel it is absolutely fixed, some people feel it isn't - that's the whole point of the trans rights debate. However, neither species nor age are determined by convention - especially given that "dragon" isn't a species.

Her body, her money, she can do with both has she pleases. But no amount of tattoos and cosmetic surgery will ever make her a dragon, a tiger, a snake or anything other than a human.

How do they get people onto the Jeremy Kyle show? Is there a missing teeth quota that has to be met? Just about everyone on that show looks like they got smashed in the mouth with a bowling ball minutes beforehand.

:D I’ve often wondered where they get these imbeciles to go on the JK show lol.

As for this woman?? Meh her money, her body so by default she can do what she likes. Albeit a monumental waste of money, I’d rather splash that amount on holidays to places I’ve never been.
