Hello,

I'm just asking here for some help on this matter because i have a feeling that quite possibly this could be Microsoft Live billing me, but i'm not 100% sure.

I have a transaction on my credit card for £39.99 made the 4th March,

'Microsoft Online SVCS http://BILL.M'

I know for a fact i did not make any transactions of the sort because if i did, my balance would be overdrawn.

I subscribed to Live i'm sure over a year ago, and if they for some reason subscribed me to Live for a further year, that's the only plausible reason why this has happened.

I spoke to my credit card and they were useless, telling me to contact Microsoft for futher details, but as MS isn't exactly a small company i do not know where to start.

Basically any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!!

If you didin't call up Microsoft and tell them to cancel your subscription the XBox Live then they will keep renewing it

I cancelled my monthly one yesterday, real nightmare. I tried emailing but nope you have to call. Get through to an indian who can barely speak english at the other end who you have to spell everything out to and then get quizzed why you are cancelling the service. Great.

People have been caughted out by this before, its hidden somewhere in the Ts and Cs. When I called up I was trying to explain to them that no, I don't want to delete my account, just stop paying for Gold. They wouldn't let me delete my card details from their records but eventually I managed to get them to stop the auto-rebill.

great!

Since i now don't own an xbox and havn't accessed Live in over 9 months, do you think they will refund me what i've paid for subscription already? hopefully the full 39.99?

In a word "No " You sould have read the smal print in T&C and made sure that you cancel any subscription.
I might be wrong but can't see microsoft being that kind
Good luck you can only thy

You could always try selling the account. It'll cost the next owner 800 points to change names though, so you might not get much.

You won't get it back, put it down to experience. This is why I went with the monthly option im useless at remembering things like this. Got billed 3 months without playing before I did something about it :)

This has happened to me by accident in the past and I called up nearly 2 weeks after it had been billed (didn't know until I received my statement) and they refunded it with no problems so its worth a try mate.

No he's saying don't shout. The human voice has a slightly wider range than whisper quiet or shouting... ;)

Although it would be kinda funny if everyone went around only whispering or shouting, nothing else.

Or mebbe, I'm just incredibly bored at work.
