I have a few Transcend JetFlash 920 USB flash drives which have been working flawlessly with all my PCs. I bought a couple of Intel NUCs recently and these transcend drives refuse to work with them unless I plug them into the monitor USB hub. They would just disappear or give me an unknown USB error. Sometimes they would just stop copying. All my other USB drives work fine with the NUCs's USB ports. I'm beginning to think that the NUCs can't supply them with enough power. Is this plausible?

those are usb flash drives tiny ones, doubt they use much power usually they used a fifth of what the usb port can deliver.

however iv seen similar issues my amd system, usually i have to leave the usb stick plugged in for around 45 seconds for it to be detected then it works flawless. only happens on 2 of the usb sticks i have, a corsair one and another one
