Hello,

I'm eagarly awaiting the delivery of my newly ordered hardware. I expect it to be here some time next week, however, being a typical scotsman, I ordered only the thins I needed at the lowest prices :D. Indeed, that means no new harddrives. I will be using the ones I have installed in this PC, but I would like to know if it'd be best to format and reinstall windows xp pro for the new system?

Help appreciated

Andrew.

Personally I'd say reload - you can get away with not doing that and only reloading drivers etc as required for your new hardware onto your existing OS - mostly mobo drivers of course, but it's not guaranteed that it'll work and so you may have to reload from scratch anyway. A new load is better as you'll also regain full speed of the OS due to not having all the usual associated 'bloat' that Windows seems to collect over time! :)

+1 for reload option

depends on how much data you have on it though and if you can back that up and restore it afterwards.

Ok then I think it's clear :P. I already have a lot of my stuff backed up from a previous reinstall not so long ago and it'll probably do me better in the long run. Cheers guys.
