i have 2 x samsung 7k sata drivers on raid 0.

on HD tune i am getting 82mb/sec max is that what you would expect?

That's perhaps a bit low although it depends how old the disk are. Have you tried HDTach to see if it's just the way HDTune is reading the speed?

on hd tach, average read 76mb/s

How are they connected to the PC - onboard controller (which board?) or add in card?

There's definitely something not quite right there, the graph should be a reasonable smooth line, higher on the left than the right. The DS3's RAID controller doesn't have the greatest reputation but it should be doing better than that.

Do you have the latest drivers installed?

ye my new system has been so wierd..

1st problem i had was with my new video card (connect 3d ati 1950x).. when i run 3dmark it falls over, so i put my old 6600 - no probs

then i notice when im playing mp3s etc and have other things running it judders and stuff.. put a sb audigdy 4.. seems to be ok

now this!

i installed newest drivers the other day, just now ive tryed to load up the raid configurer and nothing happens!! -.-

another messed up thing..

im getting lower benchmarks with my new system core duo (raid 0)
than on my old one. p4 3.0 no raid

both using the 6600
