transfer speeds?

I have just fitted a 2nd SATA HDD and i am transfering some files from one drive to another an it says it will take 12mins to transfer 33Gb, is this about right? or does it seems slow?

Its a Estimate that changes going by the size of the current file its moving and how many files it assumes are the same as the file currently in transfer, Example if its moving lots of large .avi's and small .docs it will vary the time up and down many times.
