Transferring text messages?

Is there any way to transfer text messages and phone numbers from my Nokia 5800 phone to a HTC Wildfire?

I'm debating getting a HTC Wildfire from Three on contract for £15 a month but need to know if I can transfer all my text messages first.

Also is the HTC Wildfire a decent phone? :p

The wildfire will be a step up from the 5800 but it is slow compared to other android phones. I do not see why you would want to transfer text messages I do not think it possible.

Numbers should be transferable through a variety of ways. Save to sim should work, or you could back them up to Google contacts or similar.
 
What do you mean? The default location for text messages is C:Phone memory. I can change it to my memory card but I want to transfer all of my texts from my phone memory to my new phone memory.

Or is this not possible :(?
 
I wouldn't go for a wildfire tbh, it's a pretty bad phone even on the cheap. What other phones can they offer you on the £15 a month contract?
