Transferring windows and files to SSD

Hi,

Does anyone. Know how to transfer files from a mechanical hard drive to an SSD?
I prefer to transfer than to do a fresh install and lose all the data on the hard drive

iv just cloned my old SSD to a new SSD (M2 dirve) and i'm getting an error saying
Reboot and select proper boot device any ideas why im getting this?

Really need more details. Full system spec, windows version, cloning procedure etc. etc. would help.

Obvious question, did you change the boot priority?
