Obviously things have evolved somewhat since I last played (a long time ago!). Maybe I had an old version. For instance I never had to update the track to take electric. Had steam trains, then diesel, then some kind of monorail thing for which the track had to be replaced. It was electric, but didn't look like regular track.
Also I could never build embankments. It wasn't an option. Like in your image you have the track next to the red (150mph if I remember right?) bridge, I could never do that because of the incline.
Couldn't build a station that big either. Biggest was 5 by 4 I think.
It just seems very different to the game I used to play. Build a station, link it up, build 2 trains, load here, go here, unload, repeat.
I didn't ever have a network. And 150 trains all running on the same track?!
