Transport Tycoon - OpenTTD

Id really love to be able to play TTD, but I just cant seem to get the hang of signals, they never seem to work properly for me. Can anyone link me to a decent guide on starting out in TTD?
 
What times is the server going to be running? I don't really want it going whilst at work etc otherwise it too tricky to catch up and we end up in 2050 in 2 days.

The game plays on after 2050 any ways.


But: I'm asleep during working hours anyways, so don't except me hosting it any time in the afternoon :p.


I'll post here tomorrow when I'm up and when I plan to continue it again.
 
Just downloaded it and got it working, does the wiki have instructions on how to play?

seems a bit confusing by looking at it without knowing what to do. Or the point of the game.
 
Imagine rollercoaster tycoon except with transport. So you still have goals to complete and things, just in a different way.

The wiki has everything you need to know :)
 
Windle ''demanded'' a new game so going to host that now, still got the save for anyone else wanting to continue the old one.
