Since I'm moving in a week, I'll need to be taking my 600t with me. Problem is, weighs quite a bit and aside from just sucking it up and carrying it in my arms, does anyone have any tips for transporting a case safely?
Bit of a stupid question I know, but i'd just rather avoid damaging my system since I spent quite a bit on it.

Cheers

Well driving over, so will keep it in the boot, not worried about that. But I'm gonna have to carry it around for a bit to get to my residence + something stupid like 10 flights of stairs (no elevator of course)

I always put my PC behind the driver/passenger seat in the rear legroom space, just the right size to wedge it in nicely :D

I usually stick mine back in the original packaging. If you really don't want to carry it, you could stick it in a wheelie suitcase, but there's nothing to help you with those stairs.

Consider temporarily removing the heavy internal elements such as large CPU heatsink and/or GPU during the move. Most other components will be sturdy enough to take a couple of knocks.

Yeah I was going to suggest some componet removal. But was tied.

Ocuk doesn't ship certain things.

Like I think a GPU in place or cooler.

Could be wrong! Lol

I'm not sure about cooler - think it depends on what cooler you have (can't imagine them not shipping a H80 in case, but a D14 they might remove...)

I know they don't ship the GPU in their pre-builts though..

Ye I'm going to have to move my 650D when I go to uni.

I will take the graphics card out and stick it in the box it came in. Should be fine.

Will get hold of some bubble wrap then and take out my graphics card for the move then. Don't think I have the original box, so will go out on a hunt for a similar sized box.

Whenever I do stuff like that, I just stick in this enormous army bergan I have which is big enough to carry any mid-tower. Some kind of rucksack/way of putting it on your back would be best. Maybe you could sling a strap through some holes in the original box if that would hold? A large holdall would be a good idea, or even just a makeshift tarpaulin bag, although you would have to carry it, you could get a good grip on it and you would be able to get it up the stairs easier than on any wheeled device.

didn't add any bubble wrap or take anything out.
