Transporting an Engine

Hi all,

Got a good deal possibly on mondeo engine to scavenge for bits, but I have absolutely no idea how i'd pick it up. Presumably it would be too heavy to just chuck in the boot - or even on the back seats? (Currently drive a mk2 mondy). Are there any courier options?

Not mentioning that you have got a cortina engine that needs a lift as well ......

I had a couple of pintos in the boot of me old 106 so i'm sure you can get it in a mondy

hatch? You may be surprised by the tightness of the Mondy saloon....?

Anyone hazard a guess how big a v6 mondy engine it? +gear box?

You could unbolt/take out the passenger seat, and put the engine there.
Its much easier than putting it into the boot.

Having a Mondeo saloon myself, and having owned/seen the size of a Mondeo V6, I would not like to try and fit it in there

Indeed. Many a time I have thought cupboards etc would easily fit in the saloon and have failed.

Yea, you can just rest it on an old tyre or simlar, tends to fit the sump quite well and stop it moving about too much. Obviously you have to strap it down a bit, preferably
