Travelling to work

Three mile bike, on a bike that cost me around £400 eight years ago - costs me very little indeed to get to work.

£0,000,000,000,000,000.00

I work from home. Or if I have to go to the office, I fly there which work pay for ;)

My student travelcard costs me £22/week, otherwise it's about £30/week, plus a share of the cost of bicycle, locks and gear to get to the station.

Petrol to my old work used to cost me about £125/month, 2 years ago though so add a bit for the increase in petrol prices.

About £500 - £800 on fuel or train tickets, depending if I can be asked to drive the day or not. Off course it gets paid for by my company but I still try and be as frugally as possible. In February it was around 2k as I went to Birmingham every day and didn't want to stay in a hotel up there. Preferred driving home every day or take the train. Quite a pricey month it was for the firm :p

Used to be around £185-£200 per month in fuel plus my insurance/tax wear etc,
but now I spend £0 as I now live closer to work and cycle everyday. :D

At the moment I'm getting free lifts. The office is only about a 10-15 minute drive from home. That'll change when I get my own car but still a total 20-30 minute commute per day is nothing.
