Travian Noob, Looking an Alliance

I started playing Travian Yesterday, and looking on there i can see there are 2 OCUK alliances.

My question is how can i join them?? Would they accept a noob?

The only problem im having is that this game seems seriouly slow at the moment....

Does it speed up later on as you have better villiages etc???

It will seem to speed up as you get bigger but that's because you'll have more resources and be able to do more things at once. When you get more villages it gets even better. To start with, concentrate solely on building up your resource fields and cranny's to protect your resources from any attackers.
Where are you on the map?? That will depend on which alliance you can join. There are a few original OcUK members left in the OcUK alliance, and there are some in other alliances.

Well its certainly better when you have the production/hr of 4+ vills but tbh the game pace remains the same.

There are x3 servers that run much faster..

My location is 102 , -86, i joined the SE region.
How to i access the x3 servers??

I guess im just exciting and wanna start building some serios stuff, but at the rate i'm going at the moment my production is really slow:

Wood: 14 per hour
Clay: 18 per hour
Iron: 11 per hour
Wheat: 6 per hour
