On the wagon, sorta
As you can see by my sig im a trekky, im pretty proud of it and my gf thinks im a bit of a geek because of it. Tonight ive had a few and thought id watch a trek movie... as you do lol!
the movie in question is the voyage home.
its served as a reminder how much of a great film the voyage home is, its without a doubt the best trek film released and prolly the only one that has as little to do with trek culture as it does. the comedy in it is great and the story is solid all the way through, really love this film and think its a piece of that era when great films were just about the show and nothing else.
The opening 20 minutes holds the most memorable part of the film, both bad and good, bad being an appauling job done by robin curtis as lietenant saavik, the acting was disgraceful and so lifeles it made me feel numb inside.
That being said 30 seconds before that was my comedy line of the movie wich was

chekov: "operational admiral, cloaking device now available in all flight modes"
kirk: "im impressed, that's a'lot of work for such a short voyage".
chekov: "We are in an enemy vessal sir, i do not wish to be shot down on the way to our own funeral!

Kirk being kirk and having that thing that will allways make him kirk, no matter how fat and in tune with the law lol, trek really is a way of life! glad they bought it back though it will never be quite the same as the classics!

Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all the way.

Wrath of Khan here as well but Voyage Home is probably the second best

Now, where's that Nuclear Wessel

The nuclear wessel bit is the only memorable part of The Voyage Home. Wrath of Khan is a load of radioactive pants.

I've always preferred the TNG crew, so Star Trek: Nemesis is easily the best trek film, as long as you avoid all the various Riker and Deanna Troi scenes. Though 'First Contact' is worthy of note purely for Worf's cry of 'Prepare for ramming speed!'

Of the original movies I'm a big fan of 1, 3 and probably 6 too. This new movie should be a curiosity, just as long as they don't mess it up.

Thats so incorrect its actually off the scale, Nemesis is AWFUL.
Its like they all got together for a big camp party, the point of which was to bum rape the trek franchise to death.

Undiscovered Country by a mile for me.

Particularly Excelsior joining the battle against the cloaked BOP, Spocks various comments throughout the film, and Scotty shooting the assasin despite being so fat and rubbish that he couldn't catch a cold never mind a villain.

Yeah, I mean seriously. Every TNG film after First Contact is somewhere between abject and average.

I'd be a lot more impressed by "The Undiscovered Country" if the script writer actually understood the quote - which he clearly didn't.

As a proper SF fan I can only say they are all pants, but the least worst is Khan, followed by First Contact.

Please rewatch the whole lot of them again (well you can skip Final Frontier which is probably the worst of the lot) and say that Nemesis is the best once more.

nemesis hammered in the nail that sealed the coffin of the trek franchise in my opinion, don't get me wrong it was watchable and enjoyable in some places, if the film or two before it were better than nemesis would have been a lot more forgiven but they was not so it was just another mediocre attempt in a line of them.
I like TNG don't get me wrong but the old crew seemed to gel better, they bounced off of each other more and had a better interaction, even shatners cardboard repetitive acting had its place and gave it its appeal.

Wrath Of Khan is the best. Fact. Voyage Home and Undiscovered Country tie for second.

I suspect I'm one of the few that actually likes The (Slow)Motion Picture - but it has to be the Director's Cut from the DVD release. The proper sound mix, the improvement in the pacing, a proper look at Vulcan, the added little CGI sequences that show stuff the film-makers planned but couldn't/didn't get around to making....all of it conspires to make the first film a lot better than it was on theatrical release.

***edit***

Oh, and Nemesis is bloody awful. First Contact is the best of the TNG crew films.
