Indeed.. the thing that puts people off is the learning curve, you can't just join a game and dominate people, even if you're good at FPS games.

You need to learn the maps, learn to ski, get used to the projectile weapons etc.

You hear people say it's 'Pay to Win' just because they've joined a game and got killed by some guy using x weapon, which they currently don't have. Shame those sorts of people won't stick around long enough just to see how wrong they are.

One you get through the learning curve you truly see why this game is so great.

I'm always switching to third person, bit of a habit now, I do it for more awareness of what's happening around me.

It also increased your FOV by a few.

I use default controls, if I ever need to jump jet I do it manually.

Right mouse button - Jet
Ctrl - Jump
Space - Ski

yes, but do not buy with the game open, do not close steam once you have bought it, and do make sure you log into the same account straight away as the one you want it applied too. If it doesn't apply then contact both steam and Hi-Rez and expect to wait around 5-7 days for manual application (this is my experience, it finally was applied today!).
