Been reading about Trim on Windows 7 and SSD's

Now my set up is as follows

Asus P6TSE board set to RAID mode

Samsung 830 256GB SSD as primary OS C Drive with scheduled defrag disabled.

2xSataII IDE drives in RAID 0 for Data.

Now the question is

Since my BIOS is in RAID mode and not AHCI mode, will Windows and traim manage it correctly ?

trim wont work, for trim to work in raid mode you need a z77 chipset motherboard/latest rst drivers and oprom included in the motherboard bios

if the ssd isnt part of the raid array then trim will work

The SSD is not part of the raid array, only the HHD's are, but the BIOS is in RAID Mode

Will trim work ?

im no raid expert, but i do know that raid also contains ahci drivers, and if it isnt in a raid array it should work, theres ways to see if trim is enabled if you google i cant remember what you do but it will display a 0 if it is,i think you run wei once to turn on trim
