TRIM

I heard that I should use SATA3 ports for my Vertex 2 to get Trim functionality. I have not seen it anywhere else.

I installed the drive to a sata 2 port and crystal disk says that trim is working. can I rely on this?

Either should work, providing you're using drivers that support TRIM (e.g. Intel RST, AMD or default Windows 7) and your SSD isn't in a RAID array.
