First one was great, high hopes for the second! Nice to see online coop is in, local only was horrible from Trine. Hoping it's longer to as first was a tad short.
 
The only issue I really had with the first 1 was that the Warrior is almost completely useless for combat when you compare it to the Rogue. Simply maxing out number of arrows and spamming them as fast as you can was WAY better than trying to fight them in melee. You have to really try and use them equally to get the most out of it.

Oh and the bats... they were just plain irritating on Very Hard.

Agree on the bats. Though for me the Wizard was the least helpful in combat. I only used him when there was a section that required a couple of boxes or walkways or had to move something most gaps that others would use him for I grappled across with the Theif. The Warrior was my main combat and for just generally getting around the Theif was best. I think that is how you are supposed to be using them anyways.
 
Well the Wizard wasn't really meant for combat... though he did have his uses if you were prepared to bother with it. Swapping and quickly dropping a plank over a few enemies was great, or the odd box. Floating Platform explosions were REALLY powerful if you ever bothered to use them.

Yes thats probably how you're supposed to but when it came to close quarters you could just spam up to 4 arrows with a single shot and with quick shot it did even more damage and the combat was so simple that you would always end up taking hits as the knight, more when you started with the Hammer.
 
that looks really nice, really enjoyed the first game, it was more fun than most of the full price games I got that year.
 
A new Vibes trailer from Trine 2 shows off some environments from Frozenbyte's upcoming platformer sequel accompanied by some instrumental music with a new age/Cirque du Soleil, well, vibe. The trailer includes a bit on the game's release date, or more precisely, its lack of one, though they seem pretty set on a 2011 release: "There is still a lot of work to do - our programmers are working hard to ensure that the game ships bug-free and that all of the gameplay features match the quality level we want. The game will be released once we have completed our work and the game has passed all the console-related quality assurance processes, so we are still a few months away," says Lauri Hyvärinen, Frozenbyte's CEO. "Ultimately we decided that we don't want to rush things - our goal is to make Trine 2 one of the best if not the best downloadable game of 2011 and we'll stick to that." Yeah i hated those thing too :D always got me at the wrong times.

Aynone tried Capsized? it's similar to trine but seems like a cross between the old games of jetpac & Thrust rolled into one. Well worth getting.

Thanks to youtube it's really a good tool bridging potential customer and product supplier.

I watched several clips and I agree with you that it is excellent and fabulous graphics that is!! I regret I have missed that.


Slightly off topic, I wonder are there any adventure/RPG games which have multiplayer modes? Thought it would be fun playing this genre of games that way.
 
Awesome! Can't wait for this.

The first was a little too easy but still great to play. Although it didn't have many steam achievements it is the first game on steam I have actually 100%. Can't believe I never tried this out until I got it in the Frozen Synapse Humble Bundle extras!
