I stayed here for two nights and it was great. There are regular busses into the town centre, only a 5 min bus journey.

Carberry tower in musselburgh is impressive and cheapish, 10 minute train ride to edinburgh

Stayed at Hotel Indigo two years in a row and thoroughly recommend it, friendly and helpful staff and the food was fantastic! As for things to do, the most common things have been pointed out; castle, zoo, royal yacht, gardens etc. I'd personally try and see a comedy show whilst there, have lunch at patisserie valerie as well.

Lots to do really!

Visit the stand comedy club and then dinner at somewhere like Sonar Goa
