I'm new to this eyefinity business so I'm wondering if I can get some advice / recommendations. I've got three monitors at 2048 x 1152 connected using DVI. I'm looking for an eyefinity card which will work at these resolutions and is a compromise between price, performance and noise. In order of importance, I would put these at:

1) Price
2) Noise
3) Performance (I'm not a hardcore gamer)

Thanks

6950 would 'do it' but wouldn't be great for performance. Why do you need Eyefinity if you are not a hardcore gamer mate? Seems strange!

6970 would be best, or two of them :) Or a 6990+6970 does it too (see sig :))

I've got the monitors already because I use them for work, so I thought I could get eyefinity for just a little bit extra cash. Having it could turn me into a hardcore gamer, but after looking at the costs (nearly spat my tea out when I saw the price of a gtx590), I think I'll give it a miss .... for now :)

thanks for the info

btw eyefinty requires you to use displayport(or displayport to dvi/vga adater/cable) on one of the monitors, can't do 3x dvi, 2xdvi + 1x vga, 2x dvi 1x hdmi etc.

have to say that the bolded line is lot of bs really, have you got proof backing that up? the 6950 max51 linked to canbe unlocked to effectively 6970 but saving you a bit of money over the 6970.

One 6950 running 6000x1200 res at max settings would perform better than crossfire 6950s or cf 6970s? Hmmm... yeah... jog on son and learn grammar!

From what you've said a 6950 would be ideal for you. They can be had from OcUK for a good price. Check the Asus ones, they are both good to go for 6 monitors (4 are display port though).
