2x2GB RAM
SEAGATE MOMENTUS 7200.5 (temporary) waiting for SSD
3x 1600x1200 IPS 15" panels + dvi/ldsub lvds controllers
pico 120W + 100W brick for all

RES: 3600x1600 (after bezel correction 3730x1600)

IDLE (music/browsing www etc) 55-60W

TO DO LIST:
- lvds, inverter and power cables put between alu and lcd panels
- buy 2x 50cm HDMI + make custom 5-7cm vga cable
- change stand to stronger (this one is stron enough but i want put 12V brick on back as well
- put usb3.0 on side of monitor (i have it already, but I need one alu profile to proper mount it
- clean up bezels from tape
- paint front bezels also up and down pieces of alu but i dont decided if i do it

Also on stand I am considering put USB HUB for easier access for usb ports but dunno If I do it bcoz on bottom of monitor I mount thing (dunno what is called) which you can use for organise a cables and you dont get mess ;)

Very interesting indeed. Are these 15" panels sourced from (cheap) laptop parts?

As this gives you close to a 30" ultrawide display, my question is how does it compare to off-the-shelf 30+" ultrawide (3440x1440) screens?
 
YES
all are IDTECH panels from OLD IBM T60P/R50P laptops

with middle bezels i get 31"

compare? i dont know - my total cost for all hardware parts + panels + controlers + aluminium etc (except ssd/hdd) is about 330-350euro (I save some cash on cpu, mobo and panels)

34" 3440x1440 monitor from LG cost itself 750euro (without PC)

So my is 3-4x cheaper and i still get better resolution and also PPI
