It's not the work side tbh. It's just how utterly horrible the layout is. I mean hey, if you're rich enough to build a rig powerful enough to run just as a three screen gaming machine then I doff my cap to you. However, if you want to use it for utterly anything else (emails, chatting with mates, browsing the web) then yeah, 7 series it must be. Otherwise it just renders your desktop useless imo.. Try and remember though, I'm the guy that sees things as they really are, and in that I mean.
Crossfire and SLI are too much aggro.
I don't often overclock.
I don't run FRAPs when I play a game and remember the FPS I got so I can go and tell my friends (they'd quite probably laugh at a 39 year old man doing such things)
I run Vsync because I am capable of seeing screen tear. And it's prevalent, and I sodding hate it.
So I don't like having screen tear in order to gather those oh so important frame counts with which to assault my poor friends with.
ETC. I'm what you could consider to be honest, yet very very boring.
I'm running an I7 950 w/6gb ram. And whilst my 3dmark score could be considered on the limp side of things (around 7800 points in performance) I'm happy with it.
I've been made aware that the same card at 1125 or whatever the max OC is right now running on an I7 2600k can net around 10k points, but I'm not really bothered as it's all synthetics and due to my love of Vsync wouldn't make a difference any way
I'm just about to dabble with passive 3d and Tridef, so expect me back in a week telling every one just how rubbish it is and to avoid it
