I get that many cards will be placed in systems where there are only two slot spaces on the back but they'll also be placed in systems where there are more, so why not do what sellers of half-height cards do and provide an alternative triple-slot slot-plate for the user to fit?

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. It usually doesn't make a difference to the rigidity of the card anyway, just a waste of metal for the most part.

A lot of vertical mounts rely on the double plate design too, so that will likely not work... though I’m sure that’s not the reason that drove their decision.
