Hmm OK...big/small crosshead/Phillips?

(goes off to pre-emptively put correct screwdriver in suitcase.......) :D

small flat-blade is all you need.

as for price, Mine cost £180 for 055 and 488RC4, but i got money for my b/day and that covered it.
My old tripod is about 13 or more years old and wobbles like a half set jelly, so much so that i hold the D80's strap just in case!!!

I brought that one yesterday! Haven't had much of a chance to play yet but it looks fantastic, made even better by the fact that it only costs 65 pounds over here (sans head)!

I am also in the market for a new tripod and have narrowed the choice down to either a Manfrotto 190 or 055, these pics and comments posted in this thread are great, so ta for taking the time to post them.

I have also found a full review of the Manfrotto 190PROB.

Just thought I would share...

:D

Hmm, this may well be my next purchase. My tripod is okay, but nothing special (despite it costing £100+). That's got some nice positional plus points. I'll need to look into it a bit more for some specific angles, but it does look promising.
