Trolled by HDD

Ive just been trolled by my SSD D:.

I set up a RAID0 in my PC of two mechanical drives then compared my SSD to my RAID0... Look at results >_>...

Wrong means to test the SSD. Also have you set the RAID up properly

Um yeh ofcourse i set up my RAID properly, and i wanted to know why my SSD is slower then my RAID lol.

Redo the test with this. Did you install right off or did you create a partition

Its a hardware RAID;

Getting worse results for my SSD on READ while only slightly better write so your test makes no difference lol

So.. which SSD?

I'm guessing having two mechanical drives in RAID0 isn't ideal, as they are going to be quite noisy, hot and will lose all data if one of them fails.

i thought it was the 4k speeds that made the SSDs as quick as they are. which from the results is still true :confused:

Yeah, that and they don't deteriorate anywhere near as fast as HDDs do, and don't have spin up periods.

Still, What SSD.

Oh. And you are benching a boot drive. This will give lower scores as the OS is still accessing data on it.
