Tropicana...is it as freshly squeezed as it claims?

Tesco Finest (some Italian or Spanish IIRC town) freshly squeezed with bits.

So much nicer than any other. Tastes just like the fresh stuff, where the oranges fall into the machine in front of you.

Brilliant. :D

Also, it's cheaper than Tropicana, which I used to love.

Whilst were on about Tropicana, anyone know anything about recycling the cartons?

On the side of the carton there's a recycling logo, but whenever we put them out in the green box (takes cans/bottles/newspapers/plasic milk bottles/engine-gearbox-diff oil etc) they reject them :( Which means we're throwing away about 6 cartons a week that surely could be recycled - otherwise why is there a recycling logo on the side

A litre of the stuff at dinner, bit much no?

I get the Tropicana, nice tasting and beats most other orange juices (not tried M&S). Going O/T, Aside from just orange juice Innocent smoothies are also the ultimate win IMO. The passion fruits and the strawberry and banana variants are just win.

It means it 'can' be recycled of course if facilities allow.

My local council has a collection point for the Tetrapak(sp?) cartons to send them away for recycling but don't collect them. Have to drop them off at the local site yourself.

Is pasteurised bad?

Pastuerisation kills off bacteria, and it was brought in for a safety measure as people were getting sick drinking unpasteurised milk, so it's not bad.
However it also kills a lot of the taste.

I would urge anyone who likes fresh Orange juice to go and buy some unpastuerised stuff just to taste it, it's like someones taken ear-mufflers off the taste of regular stuff.
