Trouble in BF3 but good spec

i7 920@4GHZ
6GB @ 1600MHZ
ATI 5970

...and im struggling in places (everything maxed 1920*1200), what do you think my problem is with the above spec graphics card or ram.

Im using 4.6GB max in game of ram but my GPU shows 99% usage (though BC2 isnt far off and I get over 100FPS). I get another 10FPS if I overclock my GPU but this creates massive fan noise. CPU @ around 50% usage.

On average im hitting around 47FPS outside (not clocked) dropping down to an unplayable 35FPS in areas (around the sand bags and smoke middle of the map).

What do you surgest?

Could just be crappy beta drivers.

Have you applied the cap files, for the game?

O.k I was wrong about GPU2 it does work at more than 10% its just up and down all the time, think its 6990 time....
