troubles formatting

I'ved just updated few bits on my PC and want to format to get it going nice and fast again.

I just cannot remember how to format the whole system though, my HDD is split in 2 1 with OS and 1 with documents etc.

I'ved tried botting from CD but it just takes me to normal desktop, I change the BIOS set up to boot from CD ROM.

running XP. Ived got all data backed up ready to format.

If you have the windows installation disk, it will be bootable. So double check the bios is set to boot 1st Device CDROM

The install process allows you to format partitions.

thanks for the reply.

I managed to get it down on Thrusday, brother came round and helped me out, in the end it wouldn't go to the install process from botting CD because my keyboard was plugged into USB and hadnt set the BIOS up for USB key board, so when it said press any key to boot from CD nothing was happening!
