TrueCrypt - anyone familer with it?

Hi.
Ive created a 4Gb encrypted volume on a USB stick.
Want i want to do is have it so that on insertion, the stick asks for a password to mount the volume.

I thought i'd set it up in TrueCrypt to act like that, but it doesnt work.

Ideas?

Odd...it appears to work correctly in Vista, but not XP...? :confused:

dont know if you can do that, so it asks for the password automaticaly.

Just open TrueCrypt and select the folder or whatever, only takes 2 seconds.

I just TrueCrypt for all 4 of my external hard disks. Encrypt everything is my policy.

Should work if you've set it up right. Check your Auto-run settings in XP, it's quite common to turn them off.

i've set it to encrypt the entire disk on my laptop, works a treat...

im pretty sure you cant have it like that auto, you have to open TC and select device and click mount..

btw i wouldnt recommend using any auto settings, and make it so you MUST select the partition/file every single time, so others will find it a bit harder to figure it out because it can be hacked.

I think it was that, as it works on other machines fine.
