Truly Amazing.

On the assumption you mean my post # 19, I don’t know, I haven’t watched
it completely, I recorded it for my kid, and I’ll maybe watch it with him.

oh sorry, the film came out yesterday in the cinema. Was wondering about that ha! shame they only had one showing for the film though. I would have liked to have seen it. Guess I'll have to wait until the bbc show it next month.

The bbc will be showing it on Armistace day.

oohhh, just looked and they've added some more days at the cinemas for this.

So impossible un likely this will show in my part of the woods, I hope they release it "digitally" very soon.

Really want to see this. So used to seeing World War documentaries in black and white that it is hard to imagine it in colour with real people like you or I. Also how young some of them were.

You could say the same thing about the artificial sound and colour.

I don't agree, but I respect and understand your point of view. There are many people who do get more out of a film when it's presented in 3d.... maybe it's my old eyes lol

Personally I would get more out of it with the addition of colour and audio but not 3d. In fact I think it would take something away.

It is interesting where you draw the line between enhancing old footage and you might as well reshoot the whole thing modern day with actors, etc.

On a related note there has been quite a lot of WW2 colour (actual colour and/or recovered colour from techniques that had some degree of colour rather than colourised) footage released to public domain recently - especially a lot from the German perspective in the days before d-day that for some reason was suppressed for a long time.
