I'm already clueless. I am not able to find the CMOS battery. The manual didn't help me, it's all covered. Would anyone please change the battery in this board to advise me? Thank you all very much.

I wrote in support. They wrote me this:
Kindly click here to refer the manual on page 32 for unscrew the screws of the thermal cover and you should able to see the CMOS battery.
That is all.
I removed everything I could. Well, I only see this. No battery.

From the diagram its under the black shroud directly below the black screw and m2 stand off.

I can't im on my phone.

If you put an m2 drive in the bottom right m2 slot markerd m2c socket where you put in the retaining screw to hold the drive in place the bios battery should be directly below , covered over by the plastic shroud.

Yeah, I see where it is. Cannot miss it. Right in the middle corner of that cover. Directly below the black screw. Right next to the last PCI-e slot lever.

Yes, even according to the manual, the battery should be here. But I'm not able to put the plastic cover down. It has no screw and holds firmly.
And it's a big plastic pot that goes up to almost half of the board in one piece. In addition, there is RGB lighting in this plastic. And I wouldn't want to damage or break it.

And nowhere in the manual is there instructions on how to put this plastic down. The instructions are only for what is already revealed in the photo.
So I really don't know anymore

Has to be something holding it on... I see no screws from the back? It also looks like a complete piece of plastic over the sata ports.

There has to be a way into it. Unless there is a hidden screw behind the backplate...

I would contact Gigabyte to see if they can advise you. I cannot see anybody with that cover off. Then of course getting a good response from them could be a challenge in itself for the specific area.

I wonder why they would place it in such an obscure place... Is the battery giving you issues?

I would still contact them to see if they can help.

About every fifth day, the bios is reset.
there are no other problems. so i think the battery is the most likely cause.

I wrote in support, I also sent them a photo. but they haven't answered me yet.

theres no easy way to say but you will need to take the motherboard out and remove the highlighted screws to remove the whole trim (plastic) part on the otherside to access the cmos battery to replace

after the screws are out the part highlighted below should be free to access under it (cmos battery)
