Try not to cry!

Look at the eyes of the officer standing to the left of the guy with the balloon in number 3 (2nd shot). That made me chuckle, otherwise most of those are indeed at least thought provoking.

22. hit me hard, seeing a lad I went to school with, his coffin the Union flag carried into the church, killed in Afghan, what a sad and pointless war

40. Just shows how beautiful and peaceful earth looks, compare it to the rest of the planets in our solar system then think what has gone on over they years, you come into this world with nothing and you leave it with nothing, Humans are one ****** up thing

Picture 37.

"Pele and British captain Bobby Moore"

I stopped there, the rest was a bit American anyway with token world photos thrown in, but when I read that I just thought just how ****ing stupid are Americans.

I've seen better lists, I should link them but I've forgotten where I found them. Some of the images, like the Russian vet were in this one, and those are the kind that move me.

And I never cry, but stuff like this just gets me.

Expected more but some good'uns nonetheless.

My 'favourite' (not sure if right word) is Tank Man but the lesbian pic is a bit of a dark horse, just the looks on their faces, contentment after a long struggle (no s******ing at the back please!).

Interesting to see how different pics cause different reactions, a lot of people seem affected by #33 but it doesn't do much for me.

edit: the partially starred out word is snigering [sic]....

Some great photos, I just don't get why the dog ones are so high. how can they be ranked higher than humans suffering.

Also surprised the vulture and child pic wasn't in there.

It's hard ranking/cargo rising the earth shot. It's so different to the others. But such a big statement on several levels. How small and insignificant we are, leave the planet, and we're just another ball in space.
