Hi, I have a Sony vaio C1S laptop which has a VGA out and an S-video out.

I can use the VGA out fine when i connect a monitor to it (it automatically switches to it). But when i connect a tv to s-video it doesn;t think there's anything there, so when i try to enable the second display it says please connect a monitor (i'm guyessing it's talking about the VGA port instaed of s-video).,

This laptop has a funticon key for the display but it cycles through the vga port only, and not the s-video port.

My desktop pc has a feature where i can tell it to Force tv detection. If i manage to do that i thnk it will all work. anyone have any ideas? it's an Intel integrated graphics.

i remember doing this.. im sure you need the tv to do a good res.. also try running the laptop at 640x480 if it will let you.. also a low refresh rate

I've tried setting the laptop to the lowest resoltuion but it still doesn't let me enable the second display.

On my desktop it was actually a third display but windows only shows two. could it be a drivers problem? I haven't deleted any, it's using the ones it came from sony with.
