Funny, i rang up o2 and said that my contract was up in September. They tried to put me on a simplicity tariff for 3 months because in january "they have better tariffs and phones like a january sale".

Basically im trying to get either an iphone on o2 or a storm on vodafone, when I said that I was considering cancelling my contract (after being with them for 5 years) and going vodafone for the storm as I felt the £159 for the iphone upgrade and 18 month contract was a bit steep they came back "well its certainly easy to cancell, have a think about it and tell us what you want to do"

...doh I was expecting them to grovel and drop the £159 quid and get a better deal lol....so what next!

They're pretty rigid on the iPhone contracts as so many people (read that as muggs :P) want them!

Plus it also helps if you shop about, tell them about another offer you've seen. (Give exact details) They can then compare and give discount.

They're not gona drop that price on ya.

Just get your self an N96 or summet better then a Iphon which i think it sucks.

If you want an iPhone they won't drop prices as they are pretty much fixed. Apart from that it's been mentioned before that O2 are not really offering upgrades until January (along with T-Mobile). The Storm is Vodafone exclusive, and while it's not that expensive (cost) I'd expect them to charge a fortune.

It depends what you want the phone for though. The iPhone does a lot of things better than the N96 does, but if you're not interested in those things then it might not be the phone for you.

Web browsing, email, apps etc, I'd pick the iPhone.
Making chavvy videos of your mates kicking old ladies, then bluetoothing them or sending them via MMS to your other mates then N96 all the way. :p
