Trying to install my 7970 and getting no signal, Help!!

This issue is one I seem to see a lot with heavy dual slot cards.
You might have to be a bit more forceful with the card in the first slot to get it seated correctly. Laying the case on it's side (if you don't already) can help when fitting.

Sometimes the motherboard can be slightly off line with the case as there is normally some degree of movement before you screw it down.
 
Haven't done the heaven benchmark yet because I haven't been home since, I take it heaven only tests the gpu? So that I should have very similar results to gibbo? It was stable at max clocks as I had a quick run on 3d Mark 11.

I've tried reseating it several times, I really just don't understand why the nvidia cars runs perfectly fine in that slot but the ati card won't even show a picture :/

The exact opposite to what I said, A broken PC that is not displaying anything on the monitor is as bad as it gets !, Are you not English ? or never heard anyone say something like that ?....well next time they do you will understand ! :)

I get you now lol, no1 ever had this problem before? I'm pretty sure that I can't get the ati card In anymore, it clicks in perfectly and screws into the tower in place. I'm baffled.

All is working now.

Tried it in the 1st slot today and for some reason it worked, i think it was something to do with the Nvidia card, because when i got to windows it said no drivers for the card were installed, althought i already had the newest ones installed when the card was in the second slot.

Anyway, ive re installed the drivers and the card is running at x16 :D :D

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

Also it does run at max clocks in ccc in games and in benches stable, just slid them all to max and everythings fine.

Im a happy chappy.
