Trying to spec my 1st build.

P35 would do you fine, it's just that you're forking out £111 for one and in that price range there's plenty of P45 ones. There is a review of an Asus P45 somewhere and it's very positive, but like I said P35 would do you just fine (MSI P35 Neo2-FR, Abit IP35, the Asus you mentioned etc) and would cost you around £70ish.

If you have a legit copy of xp, look at the vista home preimum upgrade,. It's pretty much the same price as the oem, although I can't say where from. But has all the benefits of retail.

Swapping the P5K for a newer board that is capable of powering 2 3870X2's in crossfire would be a better upgrade path IMO. You will pay around £50 more for it though.

I'll look into the new Asus P45 reviews... and see whats good.

My bro has XP Pro, but he thinks it 32 bit, he says.....I would need 64bit for my 4bg ram, right? Yeah.
Anyway, so are you saying that I can get the Retail (£140) version for the same price as OEM? (£70)
