Trying to submit a site map.

Hey mates,
I am a total newbie to websites. I just bought a domain a couple of days ago and used xml-sitemaps to create site map. Now here's where I need help.
xml-Sitemaps said: "Download the sitemap file here and upload it into the "public_html/" folder of your site (http://www.centralcommand.cc/)."

So i'm assuming I make a new page that has "public_html/" at the end of it and just copy and paste the text into it, and submit that url to google?

I'm confused as that is what I did, and it gave me this:

Thanks to anyone who can help me with this. I have been trying hard to get indexed on google. This is supposed to help with that.

go into the ftp area of your site and open the public_html folder (where all the other files should be) and put the file in there.

Okay perfect! I think I just was making harder than it was. No different than using the html to get verified except this time I had to tell it what the name of the file was.
