Trying to troubleshoot my regularly locking pc :(

Hey guys!

I've recently conducted a new build, and have included the specs at the bottom of the post. Unfortunatly, my system is very prone to locking up and freezing when playing games (which is what I usually use it for), meaning I have to force restart it via power or reset button. When im browsing the internet or doing non-intensive things the pc has never locked up on me.

I've run a few tests such as fur mark and a prime program to test my cpu cores. I have used speedfan to monitor all my temps, and there is nothing I can see there as out of the oridinary when my pc locks up. I have a sneaking suspicion it could be the gfx card, as when i tell the control panel to run the fan at a constant high rate instead of being dynamic, it is less prone to freezing.

After these crashes, checking the event logs yields no information about what is causing these annoying crashes.

Does anyone know of an event log or program that may be able to help me narrow down the source of the issue or help me troubleshoot?

Any advice on what i can do?

Cheers in advance!

Cheers for the advice guys. I'll try reseating all the power units and the gfx card and then post up the results of whether that helped or not.
