3/8 and 7/16 tubes are the same??

Are there any fittings/connectors so that the plugging/unplugging of the tubes can be really easy without struggle? Like what the reserator uses.

7/16 are for 1/2" barbs. Theyre basically 1mm thinner so you have to boil some water to make it plyable and then push it over the barbs. When it cools, it shrinks down again and gives a really nice tight seal, usually negating the need for cable ties or jubilee clips :)

7/16 is used in place of 1/2 tubing a lot of the time because it provides a really tight seal, so tight that many of the people use it without any clips on the barbs. I think alphacool make barbs like you desribed but they carry a premium and do you really need them?

edit: I'm just not fast enough!!

Tube size in modern loops has very little effect, far less effect on cooling than it used to. I think there was a thread recently that explained it quite well.

Does bigger pipes equal better cooling, what would you say about say a 10/8mm hose

10/8mm is grand on push fittings (gives almost the same results as 3/8" on barbs), but 10/8mm on compression barbs can have as low as a 6mm ID with the wrong barbs.

The only tube I can find for the swiftech kit is the Masterkleer 7/16 ID (5/8 OD) Clear PVC Tubing. Would this be good enough? I can't seem to find any other make. Most are 1/2 or 3/8
