I have six bottles of fine ale.

I plan to consume them this evening.

In order:

Hopback Brewery - Summer Lightning

Brakspear Brewery - Brakspear Triple

Innis & Gunn - Oak Aged Beer

Marston's Brewery - Marston's Strong Pale Ale

Young & Co.s Brewery - Waggledance

Marston's Brewery - Marston's Old Empire

A couple of classics in there, two I've not had before and two good, solid, nice-to-drink beers.

I'm cooking dinner at the moment but I shall start on the first shortly afterwards.

Hmm, My dad got me some Waggle Dance as part of my Christmas Present last year.

Its a very nice drink IMO :)

I'm just having a couple of glasses of an Australian Shiraz tonight.

The network team are adding a load of equipment to the LAN tonight and I've a feeling I'm going to need a clear head in the morning :(

No! No! No! You'll not get the full effect of the flavours in that order. I recommend this order:

1. Hopback Brewery - Summer Lightning

2. Young & Co.s Brewery - Waggledance

3. Marston's Brewery - Marston's Old Empire

4. Marston's Brewery - Marston's Strong Pale Ale

5. Innis & Gunn - Oak Aged Beer

6. Brakspear Brewery - Brakspear Triple

Though I may be wrong about the Marston brews (I've not yet tried the SPA), these should be in the proper order from lightest (in flavour) to heaviest. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Mix them together in a punch bowl add ice and a slice of lemon, no olive though it'll clog up your straw :p

all damn fine ales especially the two martsons and the inns and gunn. Had those myself alongside a Fraoch a Schiehallion and a Banana Bread Beer over the weekend.

We've got a foam party in a club in town tonight, i suspect we're going to that :p

But ill be on cola all night, as im on medication :(

I've just finished a rather delicious meal (if I do say so myself) - Corn on the cob, patatas bravas and applesmoked gammon steak.

On with the first one - Summer Lightning.

Hop Back Brewery has won more than 70 awards for this, its flagship beer.

Summer Lightning

Our logo comes from an original carving of Dionysus, the Greek god of wines and ale, found over the entrance of the Wundham Arms in Salisbury, where Summer Lightning was first brewed. Zeus, the father of Dionysus, engendered him with a lightning bolt!

<Goolden>It's a light, golden straw colour with a very light smell. Apples, freshly-cut grass and light hops.

Very delicate on the palate, it goes down smoothly and is very refreshing.</Goolden>

VERY easy to drink, very delicate, very smooth.

7/10

I've just had to settle for a couple of bottles of bud.

Going to crack open the Pinot Grigiot in a minute though.
