TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS DRIVERS/BIOS

Prior post I highlighted how I'm assuming UEFI 3202 vs 3203 is tweaks on ASUS FW side, as same AGESA, etc.

The like beta UEFIs released for X870E Hero and X670E Hero have become release, no version number change, so release should be same byte for byte as beta from past experience. I think UEFI 3203 will become release on TUF also.

Changelog states support for 4x64GB at 5200MT/s on both those boards. Even though seen some OCN users with higher speed on older UEFIs with higher RAM density in use, perhaps it's easier on these newer UEFIs, ie not needing as much manual tweaks.

I have read that the chipset drivers need reinstalling after the bios 3203 update.

AMD Application Compatibility Database device.

I flashed a lot of UEFIs recently to see some things I was interested in. I flashed UEFI 2613 from 17/04/24, big temperature difference between 2613 and 3014 for same test load at stock for CPU/RAM, etc. The UEFI change logs don't state that as a "fix". Change log between 2613 and 3014 is as below

UEFI 2613

Update AGESA version to Combo AM5 PI 1.1.7.0 patch A to support next generation AMD Ryzen™ processors.

UEFI 3014

Update AGESA version to Combo AM5 PI 1.2.0.0a for optimizing next generation AMD Ryzen™ processors performance

Beta 3203 has been good for me, I won't derail thread on my CO profile tweaking, but will leave the link for my thread.

Beta 3207 released, haven't yet flashed, as my rig is on some testing, will soon flash :) .

The stated change "Change AOD/CBS DRAM Timing Control input value to decimal type" is this menu link and a copy in CBS. Used to be hexadecimal input.

Been using a 9700X instead of the 9600X.

UEFI 3207 static OC has been fine. PBO CO OC fine. RAM OC fine.

AGESA and CPU SMU FW hasn't changed, there seem to be tweaks to ASUS FW in regard to memory. I have noticed changes to marked RTT resistances.

Both cases ProcODT/Resistances values are [Auto], 2x16GB single rank in use, same CPU, etc. I also cross referenced ZenTimings with Ryzen Master and they match, so not read out error in my opinion.

Change log up on ASUS site.

I got a nice little boost in Cinebench.

Not bothered to set any of the new gaming features on in the bios, just left at default.

I presume gamebar still takes care off core parking?

and another.... Version 3222

Nice

ASUS AI Cache Boost, a new feature in recent beta BIOSes for AM5 motherboards, is designed to enhance performance and compute power, particularly when using AI-based tools, and is optimized for dual CCD X3D chips like the Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 9950X3D.

Optimizing cache utilization and possibly boosting cache bus frequency, might be relevant to single CCD Ryzen chips such as my 7700x. Option might not even show up in the BIOS unless the processor is compatible.
.

In regards to doing a BIOS flash can I just do it as is ie I don't need to reset all my settings prior to flashing?

Obviously I'll write everything down or take pics

I never reset my settings although they do recommend your load bios defaults before flashing.

I back my bios settings up but you can only use them on the same bios.

It's a pain to set up fan profiles each time a bios is installed.
